Visi-tech History

Visi-tech was established in 2001 to provide the printing industry with high quality and affordable web inspection systems. The company was started by the current MD, Mike Young, who is a qualified Chartered Electrical Engineer. Prior to setting up Visi-tech Mike had successfully operated an Electronic Design Consultancy business, developing a broad range of electronic products for other companies, however in 2001 he sold that business, turned his attentions to web inspection, and formed Visi-tech Systems Limited.

The original product range was developed in a 180 sq. ft. garage, half way up the side of a mountain in the Welsh valleys, but dispite these humble beginnings, the company made rapid progress with its products and quickly built a reputable brand and a successful global distribution network.

In 2006, building on the strength of Visi-tech products and its global market, Girus Limited was formed as as sister company to Visi-tech. Girus develops specialised shop-floor data collection equipment and software for the printing industry, and with the birth of Girus Limited also came the formation of the Girus Group.

Girus Group now embraces both Visi-tech and Girus Limited with working plans in the pipeline for additional subdivisions in Baroda India and in Melbourne Australia.
