Girus Virtual Shop Floor

Real time productivity information for Girus users is provided by the Girus Virtual Shop Floor. This presents the print manager with all the key data necessary to run the shop floor on a day-to-day basis without leaving his desk.

On the PC’s screen, a coloured icon represents each machine – green for those running efficiently, on time with no problems, and red for machines that are not running to schedule. Current job, running speed and current activity for each machine is updated every few seconds.

By clicking an icon, the print manager can drill down to more detailed information about a particular machine. Details of the current job are shown with indications of good and waste product produced while the reasons for the waste material and inactive periods are indicated. Additionally the Girus Virtual Shop Floor also estimates the time left to finish the current job, keeping the manager better informed and enabling improved decision making.

Key Performance Indicators provided by Girus Virtual Shop Floor include:

• Equipment status (running/not running and reason for not running)
• Machine running speed
• Make-ready time elapsed for current job
• Quantity of good product and quantity of waste product produced so far for the job, with reasons for waste
• Elapsed time since start of job
• Estimated time to complete job

Girus Virtual Shop Floor is only available with Girus Productivity Toolkit.
